SHOCKWAVE THERAPY
SWISS DOLORCLAST EXTRACORPOREAL SHOCKWAVE THERAPY
Is a noninvasive treatment for treating painful heel conditions such as plantar fasciitis and achilles tendonitis. Generally no anesthesia is required and it is performed on three consectitive weeks.
An acoustic sound wave is generated from a pneumatic source and the shock-wave is delivered to the affected area, no electricity is sent into the body. As a result the therapy activates self healing processes where pain occurs. Increased blood flow occurs resulting in the body converting chronic inflammation into acute inflammation.
Dr. Iannucci has been certified in performing ESWT since 2001 and has had considerable success in the treatment of chronic plantar fasciitis and achilles tendonitis.
